Library visit June 2022

Nursery visited Irvinestown library to meet Margaret the librarian and to hear some stories and borrow books. We were all very excited about going on the bus for the first time ! ๐ŸšŒ This visit helps all our little girls and boys learn all about the library and how to borrow books now that our Big Bedtime Read has drawn to a close. Happy reading everyone  ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ˜Š

We even got to celebrate a birthday on our visit ! ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿฅณ

Our teddy bears’ picnic and village walk! ๐Ÿงธโ˜€๏ธ

On Thursday, the 23rd of June, nursery class set off on its village walk.  26 excited little boys and girls, dressed in their high viz jackets, rucksacks on their backs and their teddies at hand Walked all the way down through the village to Mantlin Play Park where they got to play and then have their picnic with their favourite teddy bear. Sandwiches eaten, fruit scoffed, sweeties and crisps munched, they started the long walk back to nursery.  Some little feet were rather slower on the return journey! ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜Š However, each one of our little troopers made it back and their ice lollies seemed to revive them!

We were so proud of our little bunch! They waved at friendly cars and lorries and even had time for a number hunt on the way to the park. Lots of little eagle eyes spotted numbers all over the place!

Everyone had a lovely morning……I don’t think that many will need rocked to sleep tonight !! Huge thanks to Mrs Lorentzen, Mrs Graham, Mrs Irvine and Mrs Lyttle for helping us today too! And last but not least, thank you parents for having everyone so well sorted for this morning given the late notice! You are stars too! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ˜Š
