  • World Champion!

    Fri 03 Sep 2021 W.Woods

    World Maths Day Champion.

Congratulations to Luke who was crowned World Maths Day Champion!

Luke qualified as one of the Top 4 students in our Region on the World Maths Day Challenge, where he had to compete online against other children in our selected region (including Asia, Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and America). The challenge involved typing in answers to mathematical calculations in the quickest possible time, whilst also achieving the highest number of correct answers, in online live games.

After this success, he then had to take part in the Champion Challenge on 28th May 2021 against 3 other region finalists in an online zoom competition. Luke was very impressive and secured first place achieving the most correct mathematical questions in the allocated time! This now makes Luke the World Maths Day Champion for Year 4 2021 in the regions named above! We are very proud of this amazing achievement.

He just received his World Maths Day Champions Award on Thursday 2nd September 2021 and here he is in a photo with his Year 4 teacher Mrs McCrossan.
